PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce vibration and noise, and to improve industrial value of an AC commutator motor.;SOLUTION: A housing 2 has a cylindrical trunk 2b. The housing 2 includes a bottom 24 on one side, and an opening 2a on the other side for the trunk 2b. The bottom 24 has a vent 23. A field 13 and an armature 14 are disposed in the housing 2. The field 13 has a field core 11 and a field winding 12. The field winding 12 is wound around the field core 11. The field core 11 is square tubular.
