PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a compound which improves battery durability, high-temperature characteristics and cycle characteristics and has overvoltage prevention and voltage drop prevention effect; an electrolytic solution additive for a lithium ion secondary battery comprising this compound; and an electrolytic solution for a lithium secondary battery containing this additive.SOLUTION: The compound is selected from the group of compounds represented by general formula (1) defined by (RX)Z(X)(RX), general formula (2) defined by (RX)Z(X)(XR), and general formula (3) defined by (RX)ZYZ(X)(XR). (In the formulas, Rand Rare each a fluorine atom, substituted or unsubstituted phenyl, substituted or unsubstituted allyl, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, or substituted or unsubstituted amine; Z is a pentavalent atom; Y is a trivalent atom; and X is a divalent atom or partially does not participate in bonding.)
