INSPECTION METHOD FOR CUTTER DISC OF SHIELD MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To curtail an excavation period by a shield method.;SOLUTION: After forming an excavated hole EH in a ground GD by a shield machine 1, a cutter head 2 stops rotation and recedes to form an inspection space S between the cutter head 2 and a pit face. Then, after discharging a part of mud in a chamber 4 of the shield machine 1, clear water is poured into the inspection space S and a vacant area formed above the chamber 4 after discharging the mud. Furthermore, an inspection piece P is inserted into the clear water inside the inspection space S from inside a machine body 3, for inspecting the conditions of a drill bit 2f and others of the cutter head 2. This eliminates the need to erect a vertical shaft or to improve the ground when inspecting the cutter head 2, thereby curtailing the excavation period by a shield method.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
