PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-sensitized solar cell including an anode layer of a nanostructure of a titanium oxide (TiO) coated with a tin oxide (SnO).SOLUTION: A dye-sensitized solar cell comprises: a substrate; an anode layer; a dye; and a cathode. The anode layer includes a TiOnanostructure coated with SnOwhose coating thickness is in a range of 2-10 nm regardless of the form of the TiOnanostructure. The TiOnanostructure coated with SnOcomprises a shell composed of a dielectric layer whose thickness may be in a range of 0.3-2 nm. The dye overlies the anode layer. The cathode overlies the dye. The cathode has a counter electrode. The TiOnanostructure may be a nano particle, a nano wire, or a nano tube of TiO. When TiOnanostructure is a nano wire or nano tube of TiO, the central axis is perpendicular to the upper surface of the substrate.
