PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autonomous mobile body that does not reduce movement efficiency, an obstacle discrimination method, and an obstacle avoidance method.SOLUTION: A robot 11 being an autonomous mobile body includes: a recording unit 25 for recording in advance positional information on a fixed obstacle that is around a moving route and does not change its position; a detection unit 24 for detecting the obstacle that could interfere during movement on the moving route; a verification unit 26 for verifying whether or not the detected obstacle is the fixed obstacle; a control unit 27 for determining whether or not to exclude the obstacle when the verification unit verifies that obstacle is not the fixed obstacle; and a notification device 23 for outputting a signal requesting to exclude the obstacle when the control unit determines to exclude the obstacle.
