PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spherical joint mechanism which can retain a work without causing wobbling in an arbitrary position and at an arbitrary angle, and to provide an assembling device having the spherical joint mechanism.;SOLUTION: A spherical joint mechanism 10 includes a cylindrical case 17, and an axis (Y-axis) of the cylindrical case 17 is a horizontal axis orthogonal to a Z-axis. A spherical part 19 formed at a base end of a center shaft 11 is rotatably accommodated in the cylindrical case 17 via an oilless cylindrical bush 18, the center shaft 11 is projected outwardly through a slit 20 formed at the cylindrical case 17, and a holding mechanism 12 for a work W is attached to a projecting end. Since the slit 20 is formed along a circumference with the Z-axis as a center, the center shaft 11 can turn in a plane orthogonal to the Z-axis along the slit 20 with the spherical part 19 as a center.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
