PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable rotary lamination of a rotor core with a protrusion, without making a cost high, in the manufacture of the rotor core for a VR resolver inside which the one protrusion is structurally provided.SOLUTION: In a method of manufacturing a rotor core for a VR resolver, the rotor core is obtained by performing rotary lamination of a plurality of rotor core pieces identical in shape to a thin plate-like rotor core piece 211. In this case, protrusions in four locations are concurrently formed in the rotor core piece; one of them is left; the others are cut off; and the rotary lamination of the rotor core pieces is performed.
