DETERMINATION METHOD OF FREE LIME IN CONVERTER SLAG

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide determination method of free lime in a converter slag, capable of grasping respective contents of unsmelted lime, crystallized lime, and deposited lime contained in a converter slag so as to accurately evaluate an expansion behavior of the converter slag and optimizing a steam aging treatment.;SOLUTION: A determination method includes: a step of adding grid lines to an observation visual field image obtained by imaging converter slag particles in a sample piece, and calculating area ratios of a phase containing crystallized lime and/or deposited lime and a phase of unsmelted lime to the converter slag particles, respectively; adding grid lines to an observation visual field image obtained by imaging the phase containing the crystallized lime and/or the deposited lime, and calculating area ratios of the crystallized lime and the deposited lime to an observation visual field, respectively; and a step of multiplying the respective area ratios of the crystallized lime and the deposited lime to the observation visual field by the area ratio of the phase containing the crystallized lime and/or the deposited lime to the converter slag particles, and calculating area ratios of the crystallized lime and the deposited lime to the converter slag particles, respectively.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
