PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a composite powder capable of forming an internal electrode having good electrode continuity in preparing a ceramic electronic component using an inexpensive material and to provide a conductive thick film paste using the composite powder prepared in such a way and a multilayer ceramic electronic component forming an electrode using the composite powder.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a composite powder by drying a turbid liquid obtained by dispersing or dissolving a metal component and an inorganic compound in a solvent at a temperature of 100 to 1000°C, the method comprising: a step of dispersing a metal component in a solvent to prepare a first mill base; a step of dispersing or dissolving an inorganic compound in a solvent to prepare a second mill base; a step of mixing and stirring the first mill base and the second mill base to prepare a third mill base; and a step of drying the third mill base at a temperature of 100 to 1000°C.
