PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode material, a battery, an electric double-layer capacitor, a filtration filter, and a catalyst carrier using an aluminum structure that has a little amount of impurities and can be manufactured into a large area.SOLUTION: The electrode material includes an aluminum structure and an active substance deposited on a surface of the aluminum structure. The aluminum structure is manufactured through: a conductivity imparting step of applying a conductive coating material containing conductive carbon on a surface of a resin molded body to impart conductivity to the resin molded body; a plating step of plating a surface of the conductivity-imparted resin molded body with aluminum in a fused salt to form an aluminum layer; and a heat treating step of heat treating the plated body to remove the resin molded body. The conductive carbon is carbon black having an average particle diameter of 0.003 m or more and 0.05 m or less.
