EARTH AUGER AND METHOD FOR REMOVING UNDERGROUND OBSTACLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth auger capable of efficiently performing the removal of an underground obstacle, thereby reducing a construction period, without an overhead clearance limit in a construction site, and a method for removing an underground obstacle by using the earth auger.;SOLUTION: An earth auger 1 consists of: an auger screw 2 in which a spiral blade 5 is provided on outer peripheries of auger shafts 4, 6; and an auger head 3 attached to its tip having cutting bits 20. A cylindrical holding part 8 is provided on the outer periphery of the spiral blade 5 in order to hold the earth auger 1 by a chuck mechanism of an all directional revolving excavator. There is an opening between upper and lower blade portions of the spiral blade 5 in the holding part 8, and a spiral cutout 15 is provided in order to prevent the opening between the blade portions from being clogged with crushed product.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
