By considering the topography of the image reflected from the illuminated number of concentric rings of the cornea, a technique for determining the topography parameters for each hemi-division of the eye is disclosed. The fit snugly in each ring, generates a simulated ball cylinder matching the topography of each ring, from the simulated sphere cylinder, it is possible to obtain a topographic parameters for each ring. All topography parameters of the respective rings are combined to obtain a summation average value representative of the magnitude and meridian of each hemi division.
