The present invention relates to a compound of formula (I), a process for preparing the compound and the use of the compound in electronic devices (especially electroluminescent devices). When used as a host material for a phosphorescent emitter in an electroluminescent device, the compound of formula (I) can improve the efficiency, stability, processability, or spectral properties of the electroluminescent device.
