PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a displacement detection device which can be easily attached to a rod of a direct-acting mechanism, and functions also as the whirl stop means of the rod, and a rear wheel steering device comprising the displacement detection device, easy in assembling and reducible in cost.;SOLUTION: A displacement detection device comprises: a permanent magnet 5b which is arranged in parallel with a rod 2 having a long groove 2r long in length in the axial direction and a penetration hole 2h; a synthetic resin-made magnet block 50 having a holding part 52 for accommodating these items and a pair of leg parts 53, 53 extending from both ends of the holding part, and formed by insert-molding a metal nut 54 between a pair of the leg parts; and a displacement sensor 5a which is arranged so as to oppose the permanent magnet. A pair of the leg parts and a nut of the magnet block are arranged in the long groove of the rod, a bolt 51 which is inserted via a penetration hole of the rod is screwed to the nut, and the magnet block is fixed to the rod.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
