OPTICAL CONNECTOR DUSTPROOF CAP, AND OPTICAL ASSEMBLY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems such as the complication of a mechanism, enlargement caused by that, and increases of a manufacturing cost and work processes, in an optical assembly for preventing a communication failure due to the adhesion of dust to an optical fiber joint surface.;SOLUTION: An optical connector dustproof cap 30 includes: a filmy body 31 for coating an end portion of an optical fiber-fixing member 12 configuring an optical connector 10; and a flange portion united with an end portion of the filmy body. When a first connector 10 installed with the optical connector dustproof cap 30 and a second connector 21 which is a counterpart connector, are fitted with each other, the flange portion abuts on a part of the second connector 21, and is pushed to the rear side of the first connector while pulling the filmy body 31, thereby tearing the filmy body 31.
