PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a partially stabilized zirconia ceramic having high crystal stability and high electric conductivity.SOLUTION: A method for producing a partially stabilized zirconia ceramic 1 comprising zirconia and yttria is provided. When the ceramic is manufactured, a composite making step, a heat treatment step, a crushing step, a molding step and a calcining step are carried out. In the composite making step, a composite in which an yttria fine particulate powder or yttrium salts are uniformly dispersed in zirconium hydroxide is made. In the heat treatment step, zirconia is obtained by heat-treating the composite. In the crushing step, a ceramic powder is obtained by crushing the zirconia. In the molding step, a molded body is obtained by molding the ceramic powder. In the calcining step, the molded body is calcined.
