PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forecasting weather on the basis of at least one piece of atmospheric data and a water content.;SOLUTION: A method includes a step of measuring a first air temperature and a first air pressure at a first location in a compressor of gas turbine engines 102 and 104 of an aircraft 106 during flight, a step of measuring a second air temperature and a second air pressure at a second location in the compressor, a step of calculating a ratio of specific heats from the first and second air temperatures and the first and second air pressures, and a step of determining an atmospheric water content from the ratio of specific heats.
