PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patrol task support system capable of guaranteeing and proving objectively that a patrol task is properly performed.;SOLUTION: A patrol task support system comprises: sign devices 1 installed in each inspection area; a portable device 2 carried by a patrolman; and a management device 3. The portable device includes position information acquisition means 7. The management device includes: storage means 16 for storing predetermined position information of each sign device; position information comparison means 18 for comparing the predetermined position information with the current position information; and position determination means 19 for determining a comparison result. When the portable device recognizes a sign device, the management device receives the current position information and identification information to compare the current position information with the read predetermined position information.
