PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide silk thread as a raw material of an artificial blood vessel which is sufficiently flexible and stretchable and has biocompatibility, and to provide the silk thread of medical base materials such as an artificial blood vessel and an artificial organ, which is more excellent in functionality while holding original characteristics of silk by forming a tubular structure as it is.SOLUTION: The silk thread of the medical base materials such as an artificial blood vessel and an artificial organ is formed by removing sericin constituting the sheath part of the silk thread, immersing it in pure water to perform swelling treatment and then executing false twisting.
