The power battery assembly (1) includes a battery circuit and a circuit protection unit (100). The circuit protection unit (100) is connected in series with the battery circuit. The circuit protection unit (100) includes a relay (2) and a current detection unit (3) connected in series to the battery circuit, and a switching unit connected to the relay (2) to control switching of the relay (2) (5) and a controller (4) connected to the switching unit (5) and the current detection unit (3). The current detection unit (3) detects a current value passing through the relay (2). The controller (4) turns on the switching unit (5) based on comparing the current value detected by the current detection unit (3) and transmitted to the controller (4) with a first predetermined current value.
