PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of estimating the thermal crown of a rolling roll in hot rolling, which is adaptable to a change in a stationary roll temperature.SOLUTION: The stationary roll temperature T_for estimating the roll temperature distribution is introduced as a model which depends on the temperature Tof a material to be rolled.
