PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce overall power consumption in air conditioning equipment provided with a plurality of air conditioners with higher accuracy.SOLUTION: A central monitoring device 20 monitoring and controlling the air conditioning equipment including a plurality of air conditioners 18, each comprising one outdoor unit 12 and a plurality of indoor units 16 connected to the outdoor unit 12 through refrigerant pipes, directly issues a power reduction instruction to the outdoor unit 12 at predetermined time intervals, the power reduction instruction showing the amount of reduction in power consumed by an inverter compressor 40 of each outdoor unit 12 as a control input, and carries out feedback control in which a controlled variable is the total power consumption of the air conditioning equipment, which is equivalent to the total power consumption of the plurality of air conditioners 18. The power reduction instruction is transmitted to each outdoor unit 12 from the central monitoring device 20. The outdoor unit 12 drives the inverter compressor 40 according to the received power reduction instruction.
