PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously measure heartbeat intervals.SOLUTION: A heartbeat measuring device 10 measures a first potential difference signal between a first electrode 11a provided in accordance with one hand of an operator who operates the device on a steering portion of the device and a reference electrode 11c provided on a portion different from the steering portion. The heartbeat measuring device 10 measures a second potential difference signal between a second electrode 11b provided in accordance with the other hand of the operator on the steering portion of the device and the reference electrode 11c. The heartbeat measuring device 10 calculates a differential signal by computing the difference between the first and second potential difference signals. When a change is detected in a manner in which the operator grips the first electrode 11a or the second electrode 11b, at this time point, the heartbeat measuring device 10 corrects the time when the peak of amplitude is detected from the first and second potential difference signals or the differential signal, depending on a change in gripping.
