PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new means having a high practical utility capable of detecting HCMV infection at a high sensitivity.;SOLUTION: As a result of an examination of reactivity with serum of a patient with HCMV infection by synthesizing a full-length protein about 15 kinds of HCMV proteins, it is found that all the infection patients can be detected without omission when using a pp28 full-length protein as an antigen. The pp28 full-length protein can be synthesized and refined in large amounts as a recombinant protein by using the Escherichia coli, and can be used commercially as an antigen for detecting HCMV.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
