PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a profile server which can respond quickly to a latest profile acquisition request from a user terminal without keeping the requesting user waiting.;SOLUTION: The profile server comprises: an acquisition request receiving unit (111); a determination unit (112) which, when an acquisition request includes an other-party user who has had no linkage relationship with the requesting user constructed, determines whether the time needed until a response is returned exceeds a prescribed time; a response transmission unit (115) which, when the time needed until a response is returned was determined to exceed a prescribed time by the determination unit (112), transmits latest profile information on other-party users except the one who has had no linkage relationship constructed to the user terminal of the requesting user; and a notification unit (116) which notifies the user terminal of the requesting user of information indicating that profile information about the other-party user included in the acquisition request who has had no linkage relationship constructed has not been acquired yet.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
