Biogenic gold nanoparticles were synthesized by reducing chloroauric acid (HAuCU) with cell free extracts ofSantalum album fresh tender leaf, at room temperature and pressure. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized by UV-visible spectroscopy, SEM analysis. The gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) showed surface plasmon band at 540nm. SEM image shows that the size of the nanospheres ranges from 80nm to 92nm, nanorods ranges from 80nm to 300 nm and nanotriangles with base length of 333nm for AuNPs.
