The invention relates to the method for obtaining a platinum-doped titanium dioxide photocatalyst, to the photocatalyst obtained in said method and to the use thereof. The main use of said materials is for the production of hydrogen, which can be used for generating inexpensive, sustainable power by means of so-called fuel cells. Therefore, the invention belongs to the field of uses of photocatalysis and of power generation and storage.
