A profinet-based control panel with extended input and output (IO) comprises a power source (1) and a connection panel (4), and further comprises a communication plate (2). The communication chip (6) is provided with a first communication port (60), a second communication port (61), and a third communication port (62), and is further provided with a driver (7). The upper computer(3) performs processing according to a state result of the scanned button (41), and then determines a button (41) in a pressed state, and transfers a control signal to the connection panel (4) by using the communication chip (6), so as to light or extinguish a corresponding indicator light (42). The control panel can extend rest IO, and implement recombination of panel control and IO extension, so that the cost is greatly reduced, connection of a client is facilitated, space occupation is reduced, and the reliability is enhanced.
