[Problem] To provide a method for recovering zinc from electric-furnace steelmaking dust and a device for recovering zinc from electric-furnace steelmaking dust, with which it is possible to recover high-purity zinc metal in a relatively short time.[Solution] With a Ca mixing/heating means (11), electric-furnace steelmaking dust is mixed with a calcium compound, and the mixture is heat-treated in a non-reducing atmosphere at 960-1,100°C for 1-3 hours to acquire ZnO and 2CaO·Fe2O3. With an iron-powder mixing means (12), the ZnO and the 2CaO·Fe2O3 are mixed with an iron powder, and the resultant mixture is compacted. In a reduction/volatilization means (13), the compact (1) is placed in a vacuum vessel (21), the interior of the vacuum vessel (21) is heated while reducing the internal pressure thereof, thereby generating zinc vapor (2), and the zinc vapor (2) is cooled and solidified to acquire solid zinc metal pieces (3). With a zinc acquisition means (14), the zinc metal pieces (3) are dissolved in an NaCl-KCl-based multinary-chloride flux, and the solution is then cooled to acquire massive zinc.
