Mixing- and aerating apparatus comprises: a mixing- and aeration unit (3) with a housing comprising a first housing part and a second housing part; an electric motor arranged in the first housing part; a shaft extending through the first- and second housing parts, and which is driven at a first shaft end from the electric motor rotating around a rotational axis; a hub connected with a second shaft end opposite to the first shaft end; at least two blades arranged on the hub; and an air supply tube connected to the housing. The first housing part comprises a connecting device with an opening. Mixing and aerating apparatus comprises: a mixing- and aeration unit (3) with a housing comprising a first housing part and a second housing part; an electric motor arranged in the first housing part; a shaft extending through the first- and second housing parts, and which is driven at a first shaft end from the electric motor rotating around a rotational axis; a hub connected with a second shaft end opposite to the first shaft end; at least two blades arranged on the hub; and an air supply tube connected to the housing. The first housing part, preferably adjacent to a connection point of the first- and second housing parts comprises a connecting device with an opening extending in the radial direction with respect to the axis of rotation. The connecting device is connected to an air supply tube. An independent claim is also included for mixing and aerating the liquid present in a tank of a liquid treatment device, using a mixing- and aerating device (4).
