The present invention relates to a charging method, network switching device, online charging system (OCS) and charging system, the charging method comprising: according to data service requested by a user, transmitting to a first OCS a first charging request by a first charging session, the first charging request comprising the service type of the data service to enable the first OCS to determine, according to the service type, whether to separate charging sessions; when the first OCS determines to separate the charging sessions, receiving a first charging response transmitted by the first OCS by the first charging session, the first charging response comprising an instruction message indicating to separate the first charging session; and according to the instruction message, transmitting a second charging request to the first OCS or a second OCS by a second charging session so as to enable the first OCS or the second OCS to charge the data service by the second charging session.
