A control method for preventing the auxiliary electricity generation circuit of a diesel locomotive from over voltage. A reference voltage value is set for the auxiliary electricity generation circuit, an actual voltage value of the auxiliary electricity generation circuit is detected (1.4), the difference between the reference voltage value and the actual voltage value is put into a PI to be adjusted and calculated (1.5), and the calculation result from the PI is used for generating a PWM wave form to drive an auxiliary generator exciting current. The PWM duty cycle is detected (1.2). When the PWM duty cycle is greater than a preset value P%, the reference voltage value is adjusted (1.3), and the PWM output is limited (1.6). With the method, the problem of the over voltage of the locomotive auxiliary electricity generation circuit is solved, which is caused by promoting the rotating speed of a diesel engine when the diesel engine is rotating in low speed and an air compressor is working. The safety of an electrical system is ensured, and the needs for operating a locomotive are met.
