The operation improving device includes an arithmetic device (100, 110) and a storage device (120) used by the arithmetic device. The arithmetic device, by executing a predetermined computer program, acquires operation procedure information including a plurality of operation procedures for the information processing system, and analyzes the acquired operation procedure information (101). The arithmetic device extracts an automation procedure candidate which is an automation-enabling procedure candidate, and outputs the extracted automation procedure candidate. On the basis of the automation-enabling procedure candidate, appropriateness of automation can be determined.
