When this linear motion device (1) is shipped, an anti-rust grease is filled between a first member (2) and a second member (4), and a seal member (6) is configured such that a lubricating grease supplied with an automatic oil supply method pushes the anti-rust grease through the space between the seal member (6) and the second member (4) and to outside of the first member (2). Thereby, the time and work spent on anti-rust oil treatment before installation are reduced, improving production efficiency. Also provided are a ball screw device, a rust prevention method for the linear motion device and an anti-rust agent removal method.
