The present invention relates to an electrolyte composition, which comprises (i) a solvent; (ii) a lithium sa and (iiI) 0.1-5 weight% of a pullulan-based polymer resin based on the total weight of the electrolyte composition, wherein the pullulan-based polymer resin is a polymer, an oligomer or a mixture thereof containing at least one repeating unit represented by chemical formula 1. The electrolyte composition according to the present invention shows an excellent life time property at room temperature and a high temperature, suppresses gas generation due to the electrolyte decomposition at a high temperature, improves the stability of an electrochemical device, and, thus, can be usefully used in manufacturing an electrochemical device.
