The present invention relates to a cache subsystem which comprises: a cache data storage part which stores a data block withdrawn from a lower-level lower cache or a main memory wherein each cache block which belongs to at least one mapping set includes: a plurality of lines; an additional information storage part which stores additional information including a tag, a reference field, bit significance, and a plurality of renewed bits allocated per line regarding each of the cache blocks; a cache control part which communicates with an upper-level cache or a processor per line; communicates with the lower-level cache or the main memory per block; selects a cache block to be replaced among the cache blocks of the cache data storage part based on the reference field in the additional information and the number of renewed bits stored in the additional information storage part regarding each cache block which belongs to a certain mapping set required for cache block replacement in the case when an event for replacing a determined cache block is occurred; and replaces the selected cache block to be replaced.
