Provided are a sample eigenvalue-based signal detection method using multiple antenna arrays and a communication system using the same. The signal detection method according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: receiving a signal through multiple antenna arrays; estimating a channel using the received signal, a signal covariance matrix, and a Gaussian signal vector; and detecting the signal using the estimated channel, thereby improving signal detection performance, securing a high sum rate even when the number of samples is increased, and reducing SEP.
