The present invention relates to a composition containing an aqueous ginger fraction as an active ingredient for preventing and treating urinary disorders. The aqueous ginger fraction according to the present invention has an excellent effect of contracting the bladder detrusor, and thus can be useful in the prevention and treatment of urinary disorders associated with bladder detrusor underactivity. Furthermore, the present invention can be taken for a long period of time without worries regarding drug toxicity, adverse drug reaction, and accumulation of the drug in the body.
