The present invention relates to a novel carbon dioxide absorbent, including amino acid and a tertiary alkanolamine, and a method and an apparatus for capturing carbon dioxide using the same wherein the carbon dioxide absorbent has the lowest loss rate, biodegradation and non-toxicity and reacts with oxygen, but the carbon dioxide absorbent prevents the creation of degradation production, and has the lower level of renewable energy than an alkanolamine based absorbent and prevents the creation salt settlement when absorbing carbon dioxide, thereby being used in a spray tower and an absorbing tower in a packing type tower without any limits and having a good efficiency of absorbing carbon dioxide.
