The present invention relates to a method for processing suitability in providing wireless access in vehicular environment (WAVE)-based information. According to the present invention, a WAVE traffic information vehicle terminal performing wireless communication in a WAVE environment is configured to perform wireless communication with a roadside base station in a dedicated short range communication (DSRC) environment. Thus, when traffic information is provided to the WAVE traffic information terminal, the WAVE traffic information terminal determines whether the traffic information is suitable for an actual driving road of a vehicle. When the traffic information is suitable, the WAVE traffic information terminal provides the traffic information to a driver by voice or through a screen display, and when the traffic information is not suitable, the WAVE traffic information terminal discards the received traffic information, rather than providing it to the driver. Thus, data smog and a hindrance factor due to the provision of unnecessary information can be eliminated, promoting safe driving of the driver.
