The present invention relates to a method for processing validity of WAVE-based information provision. The objective of the present invention is to enhance the validity of traffic information by preventing provision and reception of invalid traffic information transmitted from neighboring roads. The method comprises: a first step in which when a vehicle having a vehicle terminal including a WAVE modem enters a coverage of WAVE, the vehicle terminal receives traffic information including base station unique ID information and road ID information from a roadside station; a second step for determining whether or not the road ID information included in the traffic information received in the first step is identical to road ID information of the vehicle terminal on the road; and a third step in which, on the basis of the result determined in the second step, if two pieces of road ID information are identical, the road ID information is stored to the vehicle terminal so as to be used as traffic information, and if not, the road ID information is discarded.
