The present invention relates to a catalyst for ring-opening polymerization of a cyclic olefin-based polymer compound and to a method for manufacturing a cyclic olefin-based polymer compound using the same and, more particularly, to a catalyst for ring-opening polymerization of a cyclic olefin-based polymer compound, the catalyst being capable of effectively providing a cyclic olefin-based polymer compound that has a narrow molecular weight range and shows excellent activity even when a small amount is used during the manufacture of the cyclic olefin-based polymer compound, and to a method for manufacturing a cyclic olefin-based polymer compound using the same. The catalyst for ring-opening polymerization of a cyclic olefin-based polymer compound comprises: a tungsten complex; and an organic aluminum compound.
