The present invention relates to a method and a system for collaborative localization using a short-range wireless communication network in an environment without infrastructure, which can efficiently use wireless positioning resources by performing positioning through collaboration between mobile nodes. The system of the present invention comprises: a base station to initialize a positioning network and to manage a plurality of mobile node lists; a plurality of mobile nodes to perform at least one among first mode conversion into a tag node or an anchor node or second mode conversion into a transmission node or a reception node based on the command of the base station; and a positioning server to estimate the position of the mobile nodes based on data received from at least one of the mobile nodes or data received from the base station.
