The present invention relates to a fluid dynamic pressure bearing applied to a contact interface of a spiral mechanism based fluid compressor. The hydrodynamic bearing comprises at least two zones (2) located at the contact interface between the upper surface (11) of the block (1) and the lower surface of the orbital spiral and spaced between the zones (3). The regions (2) have a surface comprising a plurality of micro-cavities (21) and the regions (3) have a substantially smooth surface.
