The present invention relates to a dual motor pump unit (MPU) type electro hydraulic power steering (EHPS) system having a structure preventing backward flow, which prevents a fluid from flowing backward into the fault MPU side in case one of the two MPUs is not working and comprises: a first MPU; a second MPU paired with the first MPU; and first and second check valves which open in the direction in which the fluid is discharged to the high pressure port side of the first MPU and the second MPU respectively. The system prevents a fluid from flowing backward into the fault MPU side when a failure occurs in the first MPU, thereby allowing the second MPU to continuously generate steering assist power.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
