摘要

A monitoring method for black box cameras for vehicles according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an image acquisition step where a black box camera for vehicles obtains external images; a field-of-view configuration step where a limited portion of area of the images is configured as fields of view; a mode determination step of determining whether the vehicle to which the black box camera is installed is in a driving mode or in a parking mode; and an event detection step of determining whether an event has occurred from the pixels that correspond to the field of view when the vehicle is in a driving mode. The black box cameras for vehicles according to an embodiment of the present invention comprise: an image sensor unit with which external images are obtained; a field-of-view configuration unit with which a portion of area of the images is configured as field of view; an event detection unit which determines whether an event has occurred using the images transmitted from the image sensor unit; and a control unit which determines whether an event has occurred from the pixels that correspond to the field of view when the vehicle is in a driving mode, thus minimizing battery consumption while the vehicle is in a driving mode by inspecting a certain area of the images obtained from the image sensor unit to determine whether an event has occurred.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
