The present invention relates to a negative electrode material of a lithium ion battery for a vehicle and energy storage, and a battery and a preparation method thereof. Compared with the prior art, the preparation method has an advantage that nanometer conductive carbon is uniformly coated on and embedded in the surface of a graphite particle by adopting a mechanical and physical grinding modification method. According to the preparation method, low-temperature performance and rate limiting performance are improved by improving use efficiency of a conductive agent and stability of the surface of a material, and improving compatibility of a negative active material and an electrolyte accordingly. The present invention is increased by at least 8.0% in comparison with that the prior art, wherein the initial charge and discharge efficiency of the negative electrode material is 94.0%, and a low-temperature recovery rate is at least 98.0%. The method of the present invention enables a user to simply operate the same, to easily control the same, and is applicable for industrial production due to low production costs.
