The present invention relates to a method for producing transgenic rice without using a selectable marker and insect-resistant rice produced by the same. According to the present invention, an antibiotic-resistant gene or a herbicide-resistant gene is not used for a vector, which includes a pesticidal gene of Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) and does not include a selectable marker. Therefore, when the vector of the present invention is used, risk of the selectable marker can be prevented. Moreover, the vector is expected to be advantageously used for developing eco-friendly transgenic crops.
