The present invention relates to an LED lighting device for plant growth using a nitride-based red fluorescent substance and, more specifically, relates to an LED lighting device for plant growth using a nitride-based red fluorescent substance, capable of reducing production cost since an additional red LED chip is unnecessary, as light of blue wavelength band and light of red wavelength band which are required for plant growth are emitted from an LED package comprising a single LED chip by coating a blue LED chip with a nitride-based red fluorescent substance, and also capable of uniformly irradiating two kinds of wavelength bands required for plant growth to plants. The LED lighting device for plant growth using a nitride-based red fluorescent substance in accordance with the present invention comprises: a blue LED chip for emitting light of a wavelength band of 450 nm; and an optical transducer which is a mixed composition of a silicon-based molding liquid and a red fluorescent substance and is applied to the blue LED chip, wherein the red fluorescent substance is a nitride-based element, and the chemical formula thereof is CaAlSiN_3: Eu^(2+).
