Disclosed is a device to detect the distribution and position of a proton beam for treatment, discharged in a pencil beam scanning mode. The device includes a proton beam progress position detecting part including a plurality of first optical fibers arranged in a first direction and a plurality of second optical fibers arranged in a second direction; a wavelength conversion disc; and a proton beam distribution detecting part including a plurality of wavelength conversion units including wavelength conversion optical fibers placed along the outline of the wavelength conversion disc. The proton beam progress position detecting part is placed to allow a surface formed by the first optical fibers and a surface formed by the second optical fibers to be penetrated by the proton beam for treatment, discharged in the pencil beam scanning mode. The wavelength conversion units are laminated to make upper and lower surfaces of the wavelength conversion disc face each other. The proton beam distribution detecting part is placed to allow the proton beam for treatment to become incident on the wavelength conversion disc. The proton beam distribution detecting part is placed in a lower part of the proton beam progress position detecting part in a progress direction of the proton beam so that surfaces formed by the first and second optical fibers can be in parallel to the upper and lower surfaces of the wavelength conversion disc.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
